2010 Golden Boot contenders

It's almost here... And already, the pundits are picking their candidates for the golden boot.

Popular one in English circles is Wayne Rooney (England), if he doesn't get himself sent off. Spain have a couple of contenders in David Villa and Fernando Torres, if he overcomes his fitness problems.

A good money bet is Robin van Persie (Netherlands) at 25-1 and you shouldn't forget the perennial Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez of Germany.

The South Americans boast a wealth of talent with Luís Fabiano (Brazil) and Lionel Messi (Argentina). However, if Uruguay stay the course, then Diego Milito and Diego Forlán could well be in the running.
